In July of 2000 Southern Warehouse & Distribution, Operating a public warehouse in San Antonio since 1880, recognized the need & demand to have an "in house" division. After identifying this need, SMS Logistics, Inc. was formed as a non-asset, full service 3rd Party Logistics Provider working to compliment the needs of Southern.

Our unique relationship as an independent, yet in-house, arm of Southern Warehouse allows a smooth transition between your warehousing, distribution and transportation needs.

Over the years SMS has built our reputation managing the transportation needs of our wide array of customers by joining forces with our network of carrier partners. The "customer service" our customers & carriers experience is what we made first and foremost when we began and it's what we practice and believe in. This philosophy of "customer service unexcelled" is why we are successful and why we will continue to be.

Over a century of experience in the industry has taught Southern Warehouse that the fewer Transactions between companies, of goods in-route, the lower the overall Shipping cost to you and the fewer potential delays & damage.
